Cuckoo International (B) Sdn Bhd, through its Cuckoo Care Foundation, hosted its first Cuckoo Blood Drive in collaboration with Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) at the Cuckoo Experience Centre in Kg Mata-Mata on August 3.

The blood drive is aimed to propagate the significance of blood donation in saving lives. In addition, the blood drive is also Cuckoo Brunei’s initiative to give back to the local community by assisting to sustain an adequate supply in the national blood bank.

Donating blood is important as one donation can help save the lives of three. Other than that, blood donation is also beneficial to the donor as it improves the blood flow in the body, which will result to a healthier and longer life.

The Cuckoo Care Foundation will continue this life saving mission in the hopes of creating more awareness and to bring Bruneians together towards a meaningful cause.

The foundation wishes to continue to organize blood drives on a regular basis as part of the foundation’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.

The Cuckoo Care Foundation is Cuckoo Brunei’s CSR platform where Cuckoo Brunei uses to give back to the community and environment through donations, educational activities and more.

Other than organising blood drives, the Cuckoo Care Foundation also aims to provide communities in Brunei with access to clean and healthy water with safe natural minerals, also known as the ‘Share the Drops of Joy’ initiative.
